A two-story garage and shop designed to match an existing rural home—without defaulting to a generic metal building. The goal was simple: make it feel like it belongs, while still working hard.

This building handles RV storage, vehicle bays, and a workshop below, with a lofted upper level designed to be ADU-ready down the road. From the beginning, it was planned in phases so the clients could build what they needed now without overcommitting upfront.

Key moves:

  • Designed to match the existing house without copy-paste “fake farmhouse” energy

  • Phased approach: structure first, systems and interiors later

  • Upper level structured for future ADU conversion

  • Durable materials that can actually take shop use (not just look good in photos)

It’s a working building—but it still feels intentional.
