A combined residence and shop designed to function as a primary home from day one, with flexibility to grow over time. The project required navigating zoning and permitting constraints in Clark County—particularly around establishing the structure as the primary dwelling—while balancing residential comfort with large-scale utility.

 

The design uses a barn-inspired form to integrate living space above a large garage and workshop. Because it’s permitted as the primary dwelling on the site, it had to meet residential requirements while still working as a functional shop—without overcomplicating either.
